Lt. Franciszek Jarecki of 28th Fighter Squadron of the Polish Air Force Base
in Slupsk (Poland) defected
on 5 March 1953.
He landed his MiG-15bis (# 346) at Ronne Airfield at Bornholm Island (Daanmark). Western air specialists checked the modern Soviet fighter for several days. The MiG was returned to Poland on March 22, 1953.. |
